Thaipusam is a public holiday in Malaysia that is usually falling on January or February. It is a festival celebrated by the Tamil Hindu community dedicated for Lord Murugan (Hindu deity), on the full moon day of the 10th month (known as Thai) in Hindu calendar. Malaysian especially devotees of Hindu religion will visit Batu Caves for the purpose of vow fulfilment.
