Chinese New Year (CNY) is a national holiday in Malaysia that usually falls in January or February. It is also known as the Lunar New Year or Spring Festival, as it marks the beginning of spring in the Chinese lunar calendar. Each year is associated with one of the 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac.
