In Malaysia, one of the most important holidays to be celebrated by Muslims is Hari Raya Aidilfitri. It is a national holiday for Malaysia and marks the end for the fasting month of Ramadan.
Prior to the Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Ramadan bazaars can be found in various places in Malaysia, which have huge selection of food stalls. Most Muslims would be back to their hometown (balik kampung) to celebrate the festival with their family members on one or few days before the beginning of the event.
During the holidays, Muslims would visit friends and families seeking forgiveness from each other, having traditional Malay foods, visiting ancestors’ graves, and praying at the mosque.
