Chinese New Year (CNY) is a national holiday in Malaysia that is usually falls in January or February. It is also known as Lunar New Year or Spring Festival as it comes in the spring time of Chinese lunar calendar. Each CNY would have designated as the “Year of” to one of the 12 animals in Chinese Zodiac.
It is an important 15 consecutive festival days in Chinese culture. Some of the activities during the festival including families have reunion dinner, receive ang pow (money in red packets) and having feast with lion dance.
